DEBRA RICE

June 18, 1960 - May 2, 2018

Debra Rice, 57 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Woodward. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Debra Joanne (Boggs) Rice was born on June 18, 1960 in Emporia, Kansas to Harold Lee and Helen Joan (Larrick) Boggs. Debra grew up in Herington, Kansas and graduated from Herington High School.

She was united in marriage to Larry Lee Rice on May 4, 1988 in Topeka, Kansas. They made their home in Woodward.

Debra worked for Mutual of Omaha for many years before going to work for Beaver Express and later Northwest Inn. She loved listening to audio books, watching movies, and spending time with her family. Debra loved her grandkids, she loved spending time being Mee-Maw and Grandma Debbi.

She is survived by her father, Harold Boggs; one son Chris Striplin and Tonya of Shawnee; one daughter Ashley Soliday and Jeremy of Woodward; one brother Gene Boggs and wife Jayne of Kansas; one sister Kathy Holt and husband Terry of South Dakota; four grandchildren, Callie and Westen Striplin, Mckensie and Marley Soliday; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, one son Ronnie Striplin and husband Larry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family with the funeral home accepting them.
