TREVA MCCLENDON

February 12, 1949 - January 16, 2018

Treva Elaine McClendon, 68 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mary Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Treva Elaine (Clow) McClendon was born February 12, 1949 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Willis “Bill” and Ruth (Helmick) Clow. Treva was raised in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1967. She was united in marriage to Billy Ray McClendon on May 10, 1973 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Yukon before moving to Guymon and later back to Woodward where they have lived since that time. Treva worked at Independent Opportunities, Inc. until her retirement. She loved working there helping people. She was also a care giver and would help anyone anyway she could.

She was a member of the St. Johns Episcopal Church. Treva was very active in the VFW Women’s League with Bill being her sponsor. Her most favorite joys were taking care of her family and Heather Wooten.

She is survived by her husband Billy McClendon of the home; one son Tom McClendon and wife Cassandra; one brother, Derald Clow and wife Donna; one sister, Wilnetta Dowell and husband JM; three precious grandchildren, Austin Ray McClendon who is nine years old, Nathan Ray McClendon who is six years old and Heaven Elaine McClendon who is 15 months old; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ruth and one sister Twila Barnett.
