Peggy Rich Mullins

November 13, 1938~ July 8, 2019

Peggy was born in Memphis, Texas, on November 13, 1938, the only daughter of Marie Rich. She and her brother Norman grew up in Pampa, Texas and graduated from Pampa High School.

On February 14, 1959, she married her high-school sweetheart David Mullins, and together they raised their daughter Shannon. Dave and Peg's first residence was in Sacramento, CA, where Peg worked for McKesson Corporation. During that time, Peg worked her way up through the ranks and left McKesson as an executive vice president in 1982. Dave and Peg then moved to Woodward where they acquired Marie's Villa, a family business established by Peg's mother. After 24 years, they closed the restaurant, to the total dismay of their many loyal customers, who still fondly remember their signature chili rellenos. After 50 years of marriage, Peg lost her beloved Dave to cancer in 2009. Peg was not ready to retire, so she went to work for the Great Plains National Bank as a teller and worked there until her death.

Peg loved to laugh and her smile lit up the room. Often described as a ???????social butterfly,??????? visiting with others was her favorite pastime, along with traveling, concerts, and the occasional casino run. She was a dedicated member of St. John's Episcopal Church, where she was an active, caring part of the church family. Peg's presence on the front-row pew and her insistence on greeting every single parishioner during the passing of the peace will be keenly missed at St. John's.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dave, mother Marie Olivilo, brother Norman Leffew, and her in-laws Iva and Joseph Mullins.

Peggy is survived by her daughter Shannon Highfill of Lawton, Oklahoma; brothers-in-law John Mullins of Yuma, Arizona and Marc Mullins and wife Cheryl of Austin, Texas; grandchildren Lindsay and Chad Judkins of Woodward; Lance and Jessica Highfill of Mustang, and Landon and Nicole Highfill of Edmond; great-grandchildren Trenton, Cambrey, Callan, Ryleigh, and Bailee; nieces and nephews Debbie and Joe Powders and their children Kelsey and Justin Boots, Jessi and Coli Selman, and Baylee Powders; Gaylon and Sherry Robinson; Sala Kephardt and her children Bailey and Bryce Kephardt; Toby and Susan Leffew and their children Payton and Logan Leffew; Summer Leffew; Jody Leffew; Madison Mullins; Christine Hale; many great nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and many, many friends.

Peggy Mullins' beautiful, sparkling soul impacted all whom she knew and loved. We have lost someone very special, but we are left with memories that will last a lifetime.
