21 Jun 1929 - 6 Apr 2015

Funeral: 10:00 AM Friday, April 10th, 2015, St. John's Episcopal Church

Interment: Friday, April 10th, 2015, Elmwood Cemetery

Shirleinne Jennings, 85-year-old Woodward resident, died Monday, April 6, 2015 at her home in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Friday, April 10, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Shirleinne Ruth Fenimore, born in Woodward on June 21, 1929, was the youngest child of Oris and Maude (Halderman) Fenimore. She grew up in Woodward, along with her two brothers, Bob and Harry, and graduated from Woodward High School in 1946.

In 1947, she married her high school sweetheart, John R. “Mickey” Brower, and together they raised four children: Linda, Judy, John and Laurie. Shirleinne was a gifted seamstress, and her three daughters kept her very busy creating new outfits for them and then later on for her grandchildren. Shirleinne’s greatest joy was her family, and cooking and baking for them was something she enjoyed her entire life.

In 1980, she was married to L.L. “Bud” Jennings in Woodward. After spending a few years overseas, Bud retired from the oil/gas industry, and he and Shirleinne returned to Woodward. Deciding to pursue the convenience store business, they bought B-Mart in Vici, Oklahoma, which they ran together until their retirement in 1999.

Shirleinne is survived by her four children, Linda Harrison of Woodward, Judy Clothier (Michael) of McKinney, Texas, John Brower of Woodward, and Laurie Hamilton (Jack) of Woodward; step-sons, Danny Jennings (Valerie) of Paoli and Darren Jennings of Pauls Valley; brother Harry Fenimore and sister-in-law Veta Jo Fenimore, both of Stillwater; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; and her beloved canine companion Roy. She was preceded in death by her husband Bud, brother Bob Fenimore, sister-in-law Phyllis Fenimore, step-son Joe Jennings, daughter-in-law Vickie Brower, son-in-law Billy Joe Harrison, and nephew Jerry Fenimore.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. John’s Outreach, with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family.
