Woodward – The funeral for Blane Hanson, 40, will be 1 PM Monday in Garden Chapel of Good Samaritan Funeral Service. The Rev. W. L. Burnett will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born October 20, 1958, in Marlow to Lenard Gene and Myrna Greenlee Hanson and died Thursday, June 24, 1999, in Beaver County Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He grew up in Woodward. He worked for Scott's Plumbing and Diamond Construction and also did drywall work. On June 11, 1996, he married Marie Peter in Wichita, Kansas, and they resided in Burlington. They had moved to Woodward where he worked for SPC as an account executive.
Surviving are his wife, Marie and a son, Jacob both of the home; a daughter, Brooke Ann of Wichita; his mother, Myrna Hanson of New Iberia, Louisiana; three sisters, Carmen Scott of Palm Harbor, Florida, Julie Johnson of Hazelton, Kansas, and Cheryl Boutte of New Iberia; a brother, John Hanson of New Iberia; and his grandmother, Nola Greenlee of Buffalo.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be made to Hanson Children's Education in care of the funeral home.
