Jimmy Feerer, 84-year-old Woodward resident, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at his home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, at Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Tony Barros officiating. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy Dale Feerer was born on Sept. 2, 1936, in Shattuck, Okla., to Leslie Woodrow and Edna Gwendlyn (Foale) Feerer. Jimmy grew up on the family farm in the Tangier/Fargo area. He attended Tangier school and graduated from Tangier High School. Jimmy graduated from Panhandle A&M College which is now known as Panhandle State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Lea Warden on Dec. 30, 1955, at the courthouse in Perryton, Texas. They made their first home in Goodwell, Okla., before moving to the farm near Fargo and Tangier.

He worked as a farmer and rancher and as a mechanic with his family owned implement business, Woodward Farm and Irrigation. Jimmy enjoyed working his Polled Hereford cattle but his favorite times were spent with his family, especially his kids and grandchildren. His favorite snacks were E.L. Fudge Elfwich original (not double stuff) cookies.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Feerer of the home; one son, Danny Feerer and wife Thelma of Fargo; one daughter Connie Hart and husband Steve of Enid; 12 grandchildren: Leslie and wife Allyson, Kristen and husband Charles, Seth and wife Emily, Ericka and husband Landon, Vickie and husband Tyson, and Robert and wife Misty; 11 great-grandchildren: Jayden, Rylie, Dylan, Jentri, Daxton, Heather, Deanna, Ryan, Preston, Brayden and Addison; other relatives and friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Debra Feerer, son-in-law Rick Sturgeon, great-grandson Kasyn Hubbard and his sister Doreene Armstrong.
