ZIB EVEN

February 22, 1939 - March 21, 2018

Zib Even, 79 year old Woodward resident died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Norman. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in the St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A prayer vigil will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, March 26, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church.

Gerald F. Even was born on February 22, 1939 in Humboldt, South Dakota; the son of Clarence L. and Evelyn G. (Hamman) Even. Zib attended school in Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School. He was united in marriage to Dianne June Warne on October 19, 1962 in Humboldt where they made their home. They later moved their family to Woodward, and resided here since. Zib worked as a pressman for the Woodward County Journal, the Woodward Daily Press and the Mooreland Leader most recently.

Zib was an avid sports fan, following the St. Louis Cardinals, the Oklahoma Sooners, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Zib is survived by his wife Dianne of the home; six children, Treasa Moore and husband Chris of Woodward; Mike Even of Woodward; Mary Cappabianco and husband John of Norman; Jeff Even and wife Teresa of Lakeland, Florida; Lori Bennett and husband Shawn of Oklahoma City; Richard Even and wife Sheila of Norman; twelve grandchildren, Jacob Moore; Alexandra Moore; Stephanie Carrell; Andrew Pierce; Tony Cappabianco; Nathan Even; David Even; Katie Even; Joshua Bennett; Kayla Smith; Jamison Even; Jourdan Even; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Carrell; Ethan Carrell; Dylan Carrell; Christian Carrell; Daniel Even; brother, Vernon Even and wife Margie of Pierre, South Dakota; sisters, Marilyn Masters of Humboldt, South Dakota; Charlotte Wyatt of Woodward; several nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Even; granddaughter, Arianna Bennett; and his beloved dog Ruffie.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Alzheimer research or the Woof Pet Rescue with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
