BRIAN EDWARD BURTON

27 Nov 1971 - 18 Nov 2015

Funeral: 2:30 PM Monday, November 23rd, 2015 - Living Word Fellowship

Interment: Monday, November 23rd, 2015 - Elmwood Cemetery Brian Edward Burton was born November 27, 1971 to Richard and Linda Clowdus Burton. He passed from this life to his home in Heaven on Wednesday, November 18th, 2015, at 43 years of age. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 in the Living Word Fellowship with the Reverend Eric Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Brian was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, but he grew up in Clinton, Oklahoma. He had a younger brother and sister that he loved and enjoyed being ornery with. Brian was involved in soccer and wrestling while in school. He was in the DECA program in High School that enabled him to work while attending school. Brian’s strong work ethic began at an early age. After Brian graduated from High School in 1990, he went to work for a commercial construction company. After a few years he worked for Service Master in Clinton. In 1996, he began working for Halliburton, following in the footsteps of his father. Brian was a faithful and dependable employee. He earned the position of a Field Engineer through his dedication and hard work at Halliburton.

On April 17, 2004 Brian married Crystal Reed. They made their home in Woodward, Oklahoma. Brian gave his heart to Jesus in 2004. They loved going to church together and being with their church family at Living Word Fellowship.

Brian had three children from a previous marriage, the beautiful Ariana Brenna Burton, born in 1995, the precious Marisa Caitlyn Burton, born in 1997, and the handsome Richard Pierce Burton, born in 1999. This created a wonderful family for them from the beginning of their marriage. In 2005, Brian and Crystal were blessed with a son named Zaki Eric Brian Burton. In 2008 came an answer to prayer for their princess daughter named Zaylee Elizabeth Starr Burton. Over the next few years, Brian and Crystal had the exciting adventure of moving to many different towns while he continued working for Halliburton. They lived in Searcy, Arkansas, Turpin, Oklahoma, Borger, Texas and Longview, Texas before they made their way back to Woodward three years ago in 2012. Not long after being back in Woodward they received the surprise news of their lives. They found out they were expecting twins, but soon into the pregnancy with much grief they were saddened to lose one of their twins. But miraculously their precious little Zane Elijah Cole was an overcomer and he was born in 2013.

Brian loved his wife and all of his children so very much. He cherished his time together as a family. He took so much pleasure in taking them out to the gun range to practice their shooting with them. You would always catch him playing video games with them. Brian was always finding music videos and songs to share with the kids, and they loved spending time with dad doing that. You would find him singing and dancing with the kids, he loved sharing his passion for music with them. Brian loved electronics, and he would usually have a device in his hands and he was probably taking pictures and videos of the kids and even some special ones of Crystal. Brian was a devoted father and husband, and he will be greatly missed.

Brian is preceded in death by their three unborn babies in Heaven, his father, Richard Burton, grandfathers, Tom Burton and Floyd Clowdus and grandmother Fran Burton and sister-in-law, Melissa Henderson.

Brian is survived by his wife Crystal Burton of the home in Woodward; children, Zaki Burton, Zaylee Burton and Zane Burton of the home, Ariana Burton and Marisa Burton of Woodward and Richard Burton of Cookeville, Tennessee; mother, Linda Burton of Clinton; grandmother Doris Clowdus of Wichita Falls, Texas; mother-in-law, Barbara Miller and husband Mark of Gladewater, Texas; father-in-law, John Reed of Woodward; brother Brandon Burton and fiancé Donna Johnson of Lawton; sister Farrah Castro and husband Manuel of Clinton; brother-in-law, Jason Reed and wife Destiny of Woodward; brother-in-law Curtis Henderson of Mooreland; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends and coworkers.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Burton Family through their church at Living Word Fellowship with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family. The website link for the donation is http://lwfchurch.cloverdonations.com/lwfdonations.
