Herbert Eugene Arnbrecht

Woodward, Okla. —The funeral for Herbert Eugene Arnbrecht, age 84, of Woodward, will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 26, 2011, at Faith United Methodist Church, with Rev. Aaron Martin and Rev. Bill Tindell officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation and viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the church.

Herbert was born to John and Lenora (Bogey) Arnbrecht on September 21, 1926, in Arkansas City, Kansas, and died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Fairview Fellowship Home.

He grew up in Kansas and Ellis County, Oklahoma. On March 1, 1952, he married Patricia Ruth Love at Faith United Methodist Church in Woodward, where they made their home. Herbert worked for Osborne Lumber for 26 years, and later a glass shop and furniture repair shop. He worked in maintenance at Western State Hospital until retiring in 1989. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

Herbert is survived by wife Patricia; son John Arnbrecht and wife Nancy of Waukomis; daughter Janet Montgomery and husband Jerry of Crawford, OK; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister Wilda Marie Schmidt of Woodward.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.

Memorials may be made to Fairview Fellowship Home.
