ROSE CODY ALLEN

27 Aug 1929 - 23 Dec 1998

Laverne – Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Cody Allen, 69, will be 10 AM Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Woodward, with the Rev. Ed Menasco officiating. Wake will be held 7 PM Sunday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow Monday services in Elmwood Cemetery under direction of Zwanziger Funeral Home.

She was born August 27, 1929, in Again, Guam, to Simon and Isabel Mendolia Cruz and died Wednesday, December 23, 1998.

She married Alvie Cody on December 27, 1947, in Guam. Alvey died in 1984. She received her GED from High Plains Vo-tech in Woodward. She was an activity director at Grace Living Center for many years until her retirement. She married Carlos Allen on December 15, 1997, at Coldwater, Kansas, and they made their home in Laverne.

She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter Altar Society, Woodward Rebekah Lodge and Woodward VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Carlos, of the home; five daughters, Donna Coker of Milton, Florida, Roxana Keune of Woodward, Glenda Cody of Memphis, Tennessee, Joyce Coats of Satana, Kansas, Judy Smith of Morris Plains, New Jersey; three sons, Larry Allen of Atlanta, Georgia, Mike Allen of Kansas City, Kansas, Carlos Allen Jr. of Jackson, Mississippi; two sisters, Angie Mafnas, Nene San Nicholas, both of Guam; 16 grandchildren; and four great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
