Interment: Saturday, December 27th, 2014, Elmwood Cemetery

Louise Allen, 94 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Vici Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Scott Ware officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Francis Louise (Sawyer) Allen was born on June 11, 1920 south of Woodward, Oklahoma on the family farm to Burrell Cooper and Elsie (Gash) Sawyer. Louise attended school in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1939. She was united in marriage to Ray Alvin Allen on April 21, 1940 in Woodward County. They were blessed with three children, Thomas Ray, Burrell, and Patricia. They made their home in Woodward. Louise worked as a Bookkeeper for her husband Ray’s service stations in Colorado Springs, Colorado for a short time and then at Allen’s Truck Stop in Woodward. Louise later became the Bookkeeper for Jerry Pinkley and Hodges Trucking.

Louise was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Good Sam’s Club. Louise and Ray loved traveling and took several memorable trips together. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Tuck and husband Frankie of Woodward; one son, Burrell Allen and wife Carol of Woodward; grandchildren, Darby Allen and wife Laurie, Greg Allen and wife Irene, Celeste Phillips and husband Will, Toby Tuck and wife Julie, Jamie Allen and wife Norma, Jerrod Tuck and wife Staci, Lynn Allen and wife Stormy, Josh Tuck and wife Rhiannon; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray on January 6, 2003, a sister Naomi Weber, and her son Thomas Ray Allen.
