Ocltober 19, 1979 - May 17, 2020

Family visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2020, at Goodwin-Wharton Funeral Chapel from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 23, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Cherokee First Baptist Church with Brother Gary Lillie, Nash Bethel Hawley Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Whitehorse Cemetery northwest of Alva. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Justin Allen was born on October 19, 1979, to Dee (Parsons) and Henry Tidwell in Hays, Kansas. He lost a long hard fought battle with diabetes and kidney disease on May 17, 2020, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 40 years, 6 months and 28 days.

He attended Cherokee Public School System, graduating with honors with the Class of 1998. After high school he attended OSU in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, graduating with an associate degree in computer science in 2000. He then finished his bachelor degree in computer science from NWOSU in 2002.

He married Darci Lancaster on October 21, 2006; later, he welcomed a daughter, Kiersten. She was his pride and joy.

On November 12, 2016, he married Tammy Woodward to which he adopted Nicholas and Josie. This addition completed his heart. He loved his kids more than anything.

Justin was a loving uncle to his four nieces and four nephews. He loved giving them a hard time and joking with them.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Waneva Parsons and Harold and Joan Tidwell.

Justin is survived by his children, Kiersten Tidwell of Alva, and Nicholas and Josie Tidwell of Lahoma; his parents; three siblings and their spouses, Sarah and JJ Green of Nash, Scott and Christy Tidwell, Chris and Jessica Tidwell, all Cherokee; eight nieces and nephews: Natalee, Arron, Alec, Hesston, Paizley, Marliegh, Allison and Hagen; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorials can be made to the American Kidney Foundation through Wharton Funeral Chapel.
