Waynoka Cemetery


The funeral for Mabel C. Keffer Zook, 89, of Waynoka, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Northside Church of Christ. Rodney Guy will officiate. Burial will be in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Marshall Funeral Home, Waynoka LLC.

She was born March 17, 1920, in Missouri to Charles S. and Maggie A. Robinson Brinson and died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Share Medical Center, Alva.

She was raised and educated in Missouri before moving to Waynoka, where she attended school.

She married Albert “Bud” Zook Oct. 26, 1938, in Alva. She later married Ralph Keffer Jan. 17, 1976.

She lived her entire adult life in Waynoka, where she was a member of Northside Church of Christ, Willing Workers Extension Club and Walnut Grove monthly community activities. She also was a quilter and seamstress.

Surviving are one daughter, Wanda Haney, of Alva; two foster daughters, Opal Yager of Mayhill, N.M., and Phyllis King of Portales, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to both husbands, Bud and Ralph, she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Northside Church of Christ.
