Elaine was born to Floyd and Geneva Smith on July 22, 1950, in Bethesda, Maryland. She followed her parents and older brother to her father's deployment in Japan, and later settled in Waynoka, Oklahoma, where she attended school until graduating in 1969.

Elaine married Alvin D Willson August 16, 1968, in Waynoka, Oklahoma, and worked as a beautician until her retirement. This year, Elaine and Alvin celebrated 51 years of marriage. After retirement, she and Alvin moved to Owasso, Oklahoma, to be near their son and family.

Elaine is survived by her husband and children, Tabetha Reeser and husband, Michael of Enid; Bill Willson and wife, Teresa of Owasso; eight grandchildren, Matthew Owings and wife, Kristen of Omaha, Nebraska; Melinda Carr and husband, Jon of Thornton, Colorado; Jeremy Owings and wife, Ashley of North Carolina; Stephan Owings and wife, Michelle of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Emily McNeil of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Tyler Willson of Owasso, Oklahoma; Joseph Reeser of Oklahoma City; Jessica Sadler and husband, Jonathan of Auburn, Washington; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin Smith and wife, Lois of Waynoka; sisters, Irma Phipps and husband, Terry of Waxahatchee, Texas and Charla Sheeran and husband, Patrick of Aledo, Texas as well as several nieces, nephews and many other beloved family and friends.

Elaine made a career as a beautician, from 1983. She was an instructor at Enid Beauty College, from 1986. Elaine's passion was her faith and enriching the lives of the children who knew her as "Mom" and "Grandma", whether they were related or not. She and her husband Alvin provided a loving environment for their children, grandchildren, as foster parents, hosts for a foreign exchange student, to the boys of the Bulldog Boxing Club, and any child who entered their life and their home. Elaine shared her Christian faith with these children, sprinkled with chores and life lessons. Elaine's life was her family, and family was anyone who walked through her door.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Chase Gaede.
