Funeral service for Stephen Ray Smiley will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Waynoka First Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Jones officiating. Interment will be at Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC.

Stephen Ray Smiley, son of the late Donald Russell and Eudora Fern (Edwards) Smiley, was born May 13, 1948, in Alva, Okla., and passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, in Wichita, Kan., at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 11 days.

Steve graduated from Waynoka High School with the Class of 1967.

On April 25, 1970, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Lockhart in Waynoka, Okla.

He lived all of his life in Waynoka, where he worked as a car salesman and was a member of Waynoka First Baptist Church. He loved the automobile industry and was a walking encyclopedia about every type and model of car made.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Smiley.

Steve is survived by his wife, Pat of Waynoka; two daughters, Meranda Lynn Porter and husband Chris of Waynoka, and Rebecca Leigh Ross and husband Nathan of Waynoka; one brother, Sidney Don Smiley and wife Doris of Waynoka; six grandchildren, Madison Truesdale, Morgan Ross, Kelci Ross, Max Porter, Chase Porter and Linkin Ross; other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Creature Concerns.
