Deceased: Coy Phillips, 93, Alva

Funeral Services for Coy Phillips, 93, will be held September 19, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Alva Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mark Bagley officiating. Interment follows in the Waynoka Cemetery under the direction of Wharton Funeral Chapel.

Jesse Coy, Son of Jess and Edna (Moore) Phillips was born on February 12, 1913 in Marble, Arkansas. As a small child the family moved to Oklahoma settling in the Sliver Springs community south of Freedom where Coy, along with his brothers and sisters attended school.

Coy leaves wonderful memories to his three sons and their wives, Gilbert Lee and Pam of Perry, OK, Leslie Eugene and Barbara of Enid, and Merlin Ray and Lorene of Oklahoma City and two daughters, Betty Elaine and her husband Roger Mantz of Alva, OK and JoRetta Kaye Doctor of Norman, OK; seven grandsons and their wives, Tracy and Patti of Mulhall, OK, Stacy and Marion of Ringwood, OK, Troy and Jill of Enid, OK, Marty and Cindy of Altus AF Base, Justin and Angie of Tecumseh, OK, Chad Mantz and Tyla of Enid,OK, Tyler Mantz and Alex of Alva, OK and three granddaughters and their husbands, Leslyn Chitwood and Greg of Enid, OK, Kristie Sullivan and Keith of Russia, and Brooke Bow and Wade of Norman, OK.

Nine Great Grandsons, Cody Phillips and his wife Megan and Christopher Phillips of Mulhall, OK, Austin Phillips of Ringwood, OK, Parks Phillips, Trever Spomer, and Statton Mantz of Enid, OK and Gideon Sullivan of Russia, Dakota Phillips of Altus Air Force Base, and Ethan Phillips of Tecumseh, OK

Four Great Granddaughters Brenda Croinster and Poke of Orlando, OK, Kandise Sissney and Jim of Wakomis, OK, Kimberly Phillips of Altus Air Force Base and Mary Elizabeth Sullivan of Russia.

Three Great Great Granddaughters, Katelynn Croinster of Orlando, OK, and Kamryn and Karstyn Sissney of Wakomis, OK and one great great grandson, Hunter Green of Mulhall, OK

Two brothers and their wives Carl Phillips and Bea and John Phillips and EvaLee of Mooreland, OK, and one sister-in-law, Margaret Windecker of Waynoka, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters Margaret Rogers and Mary Phillips.
