Waynoka Cemetery


Waynoka – Bernice Swartz Miller, 78, died Sunday in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Her funeral will be at 11 AM Wednesday in the First Christian Church at Waynoka with the Rev. Chester Brown, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiating. She will be buried in the Waynoka Cemetery, with the Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Miller was born at Lusk, Wyoming, April 22, 1901. On May 11, 1919, she and Oliver J. Miller were married at Mooreland. He died March 16, 1974. Mrs. Miller had lived in Waynoka since 1932.

She was a member of the Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Miller is survived by a son, Oliver J. Miller Jr. of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Betty Ruth Chambers and Joe Anne Hanson, both of Oklahoma City and Donna Jean Lee of Borger, Texas; three sisters, Leah Roth of Amarillo, Texas, Naomi Copeland, Odessa, Texas and Mary Alice Gunnells, Fort Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren and three great – grandchildren.
