Waynoka Cemetery


Waynoka – The funeral for Gerald E. McCray, 77, who died Tuesday in an Alva hospital, will be at 10 AM Saturday at United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Hanes officiating. Burial will be in Waynoka Cemetery directed by Marshall Funeral Home.

Born in Woods County May 28, 1911, he grew up in the Highland school district in Galena Township and graduated from Waynoka High school. August 7, 1935, he married Beatrice Brown at Enid.

He was a farmer and in the construction business. He operated a lumber yard at Waynoka and Alva. He moved to Broken Arrow in 1970. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Waynoka Masonic Lodge, Guthrie Consistory and Akdar Shrine.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Arch of Houston and Sam of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two daughters, Rosalie Curtis of Elsie, Nebraska, and Ruth Anne Crusinbery of St. Louis; a brother, Charles of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren; and three great – grandchildren.
