Memorial graveside services for Alvina Grace Murray will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Alvina Grace Murray, daughter of the late Everett William and Alta Marie (Prigmore) Hofen, was born October 14, 1932, on the family farm near Dacoma, Oklahoma, and passed away October 6, 2023, in Alva, Oklahoma, at the age 90 years, 11 months, 22 days.

Alvina graduated from Dacoma High School. After high school Alvina and Bill D. Murray were married on February 18, 1951, in the Green Valley Church in Woods County, Oklahoma. They moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she was a wife and mother. Later they moved to Overland Park, Kansas, and then to Racine, Wisconsin. She enjoyed boating and working in her yard, making sure it was immaculate. She worked as a secretary at the Racine Yacht Club until retiring in 1993. After their retirement, Alvina and Bill moved back to the family farm in rural Woods County.

Besides her parents, Alvina was preceded in death by her husband, Bill D. Murray; her son, Michael Ray Murray; one grandchild, Jeff Pankow; one brother, Everett "Junior" William Hofen; three sisters, Leveta Eldena Dotterer, Elma Ilene Melton, and Josephine Ricks; sister-in-law, Lynda Hofen; brothers-in-law, Carroll Moore, Willis Kramp, Bill Hall, Earl Dotterer, James Melton, and Bill Ricks; and nieces and nephews, Danny Dotterer, Jimmy Melton, Doug Hall and wife, Diane, and Randy Hall.

Alvina is survived by three daughters, Beverly Murray and Dan Van Eimeren of Aline, Barb Derderian and husband, Mark, of Racine, Wisconsin, and Lindy Hinsman and husband, Tom, also of Racine, Wisconsin; 5 grandchildren, Dominic Van Eimeren and wife, Heather, of Colorado, Becky Pankow of California, Thomas Hinsman II and wife, Nicole, April Hinsman, and Carol Jensen and husband, Trevor, all of Racine, Wisconsin; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters, Geneva Delpha Moore of Alva, Evelyn Marie Kramp of Alva, Everetta Pearl Hall of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Alfreda Fern Reynolds and husband, J.D., of Cimarron, Kansas; her brothers, Henry Lee Hofen of Cherokee, and Max Eugene Hofen and wife, Linda, of Waynoka; sister-in-law, Jeanene Hofen; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association.
