Waynoka Cemetery


A graveside service for Earl Hayes, 79, of Waynoka will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Waynoka Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Army. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

He was born Oct. 10, 1926, at Togo to Perry and Mildred Hayes and died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at his home.

He graduated from Waynoka High School in 1945. He joined the Army July 1945. He was a sharpshooter, attained the rank of sergeant first class and was honorably discharged Sept. 29, 1951. He then worked on the family farm.

He married Virginia Faye Haller Kammerzell Sept. 13, 1963. They made their home in Mooreland and moved south of Waynoka in 1964. He farmed and worked for Quinlan Community Water District for over 30 years, retiring three years ago. He was a member of VFW and American Legion, Waynoka.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia of the home, four children Rocky Kammerzell of Choteau; Duane Hayes of Cleburne, Texas, Rick Hayes of Waynoka, Tracy Hayes of Weatherford; one sister Dorothy Coy of Tecumseh; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
