Estel Sylvester Haltom, 98, Hopeton

Besides his parents and his wife, Cecile, Estel was preceded in death by two grandsons, Forest Richardson and Randall (Randy) Lee Richardson; one great grandson, Jarrod Don Hada; one son-in-law, Donald Lee Hodges; three sisters, Anna Belle Haltom, Gladys and husband, Bill Lyle, Elizabeth Rhodes; seven brothers, Harold Haltom, Melvin Haltom, William (Bill) Haltom and wife, Merle, Wesley (Wes) Haltom and wife, Stella, Andrew Haltom and wife, Laura, Otis Haltom and wife, Ruby, Everett Haltom and wife, Vera and wife, Leora.

Estel is survived by three daughters, Leatrice Joy Chelf and her husband, Gene, Dorothy Mae Richardson and her husband, Bud, and Ava Carol (Hodges) Zook and her husband, Richard; two grandsons, Estel Thomas Chelf and wife, Donna, and Benny Eugene Richardson and wife, Beth; three granddaughters, Donna Carol Hodges, Lea Ann Chelf Venosdel and husband, Mike, LaJeana Louise Hodges Williams and husband, Kyle; 4 great grandsons, Adam Lee Richardson and wife, Angie, Chad Thomas Chelf, Cody Howard Chelf, and Duane Leroy Richardson; 6 great granddaughters, Sheryl Lynn Richardson Grigsby and husband, Garett, Cassie Ann Venosdel and friend, Scott Morris, Amy Lynn Wolverton (Adams) and friend Gary Webb, Chenel Maurice Venosdel Penrod and husband, Kelly, Misty Marie Williams, and Amber Dawn Williams; 3 great great granddaughters, Morgan Elaine Grigsby, Abigail Marie Chelf, and Natascha Deana Adams; 3 great great grandsons, Doss Colton Grigsby, Colby James Richardson, and Matthew Michael Morris; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. July 16 at the Hopeton Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ben Bebermeyer officiating. Interment will be in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Waynoka EMTs or the charity of your choice.
