Enid, OK — The funeral for Lona Louise Fiscus, 83, of Alva, formerly of Waynoka, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Waynoka Church of God. The Revs. Clayton Conley and Bob Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Waynoka.

She was born June 6, 1925, on a farm outside of Waynoka to Jacob Clarence and Thelma Rose Clemence Boland and died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at her home.

She attended Green Valley and West Liberty schools.

She married Harold Fiscus Aug. 26, 1940. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Waynoka but spent the last seven years in Alva. She was a member of Morning Star Church, Waynoka, and later Church of God, Alva.

Surviving are her husband, Harold, of the home; one daughter, Barbara Walcott of Alva; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three infant children and one sister.

ENID — Funeral service for William Harold Fiscus will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at First Baptist Church, Waynoka, with Rev. David Shaw officiating. Interment will be in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home, Alva.

William Harold Fiscus, son of Walter and Martha (Walker) Fiscus, was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Coffeyville, Kan., and passed away Friday, July 1, 2011, in Alva, Okla., at the age of 92 years, 7 months and 4 days.

Harold attended Cottonwood School, northwest of Waynoka.

On Aug. 26, 1940, he was united in marriage to Lona Louise Boland.

In March 1945, he was inducted into the United States Army and received his honorable discharge in June 1946.

He lived in the Waynoka area most of his life until he and Louise moved to Alva in 2001.

He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 14 years, retired from the City of Waynoka in 1983 and ranched almost his entire life.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise; three infant children, Judith Ann, Norman LaVerne and Donna Irene; three sisters, Violet Russell, Veneta Sims and Jody Petre; and two brothers, Johnny Fiscus and Stanley Fiscus.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Barbara Walcott and husband Bill of Alva; one sister, Verna Woolley of Waynoka; two grandchildren, Anjanette Douglas and husband Clint of Castlerock, Colo., and Garrett Pepper and wife Kristine of Waynoka; six great-grandchildren, Colby, Mason and Samuel Pepper, and Jacob, William and Zarah Douglas. He also is survived by Bart Gaskill; his wife, Kay; children, Brock and Blake and Phyllis Kay Poole and family; and other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for cancer research.
