Clarence Eugene Faurot, 80

 

He was preceded in death by his father on Nov. 23, 1947, and his mother on Feb. 24, 1988. He was also preceded by his step-sister, Helen Chapman on Jan. 5, 1995.

Gene is survived by his wife, Marion Elizabeth (Betty) Faurot of Ashland, Kan., his son, Dick Faurot and his wife, Connie, of Tulsa, his daughter Carol Bouziden and her husband, David, of Ashland, Kan.; Ward Cassidy of St Francis, Kan., whom Gene and Betty considered as a son; six grandchildren, Kevin Faurot, of Tulsa, Rachelle Allinder and her husband, Ashley Joseph, of Charleston, S.C., Lance Walker of Edmond and Kit Walker of Ashland, Kan., Rhett Bouziden and his wife, Becky, of Oklahoma City, and Leslie Bouziden of Ashland, Kan.; and one great grandchild, Caleb Bouziden of Oklahoma City; one brother, Jim Faurot and his wife, Billie, of Wagoner, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 6 at the First Baptist Church in Waynoka with Reverend Terril Parvin and Reverend Don Hasty officiating. Graveside services by the United States Marine Corps will be at the Waynoka Cemetery.

The family requested memorials be made through the funeral home to the Veterans Memorial at Waynoka.

Enid, OK — The funeral for Marian Elizabeth “Betty” Faurot, 85, of Ashland, Kan., will be 10 a.m. today, April 25, 2009, at Waynoka First United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Shaw will officiate. Burial will be in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Waynoka.

She was born March 10, 1924 in Billings, Mont., to Franklin and Hannah Stevens and died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Ashland Health Center.

She graduated from Billings High School and Butte Business School, both in Montana.

She worked on a dude ranch in Wyoming and for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle during World War II.

She married Gene Faurot March 30, 1945 in Sun Valley, Idaho.

They made their home in Waynoka until moving to Ashland in October 1999.

She was a member of United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Dick Faurot of Tulsa; one daughter, Carol Bouziden of Ashland; two sisters, Harriett Klein and Maxine Burke; one brother, Marvin Stevens; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, Dec. 4, 2000, two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Ashland Senior Citizen Center or Ashland Health Center. Remembrances may be made at www.marshall funeralhomes.com.
