Woodward, Okla. — Leonard J. Davidson, 48 year old Woodward resident, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 south of Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Waynoka Cemetery.
Leonard Joseph Davidson was born on April 2, 1962 in Manteca, California to Troy Jason Davidson Jr. and Lulu Lavonne (Duffell) Davidson. The family moved to Tonkawa in 1971 and then to Waynoka in 1974. Leonard graduated from Waynoka High School in 1980. He was united in marriage to Tina Heidlebaugh in 1992 and they were blessed with two daughters, Tiffany Marie in February of 1993 and Samantha in April of 1997. Leonard owned his own business in Woodward, "Home Remodeling by Leonard Davidson" and has run his business for many years. In 2008, Leonard went to work for the City of Woodward, where he was employed at the time of his death.
Leonard was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints. He was most proud of his daughters and loved spending time with them. He had a compassion for others and would always help anyone who needed it. Leonard loved to laugh and he had a great joy for all the small things in life. Leonard had a special bond with his brother Troy. They talked together every day, whether in person or by telephone, sharing their ups and downs and whatever was on there minds.
He is survived by his girls, Tiff and Sami of the home; his father, Troy Davidson and wife Dolores of Lodi, California; three sisters. Lorna Wilson and her husband Dave of Ponca City, Rhonda Daniels and husband Ron of St. George, Utah, Brenda Faurot of Tulsa, one brother Troy Davidson and his wife Cheryl of Seiling; step-brothers, Tony Perick of Virginia, David Perick, Donnie Perick, both of California; step-sister, Pam Wilson of Colorado; thirteen nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; other family members and many friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by his mother, Lulu Lavonne in June of 2005.
