Waynoka Cemetery


The funeral for Nelta Jane Coulter, 88, of Waynoka, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at Waynoka First Baptist Church. The Rev. David Shaw will officiate. Burial will be in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka.

She was born March 9, 1920, in Cedardale to Vernon R. and Ruth Stevens Hartley and died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, in Alva.

She attended Cedardale school. She married Muriel Francis Coulter July 9, 1938, in Alva. They made their home in the Waynoka area. He died Jan. 12, 1996. She was a member of Waynoka First Baptist Church. She was active in the Waynoka Saddle Club for more than 45 years.

Surviving are one son, Leo Coulter of Woodward; one daughter, Colene Green of Waynoka; two sisters, Mildred Sampson and Velma Sampson, both of Waynoka; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Muriel, she was preceded in death by two brothers, and two sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Waynoka Senior Citizens Center.
