Sacred Heart Cemetery


John Lyons, 29, passed away at his home on Flynbn avenue, Sunday, following a ten day struggle with pneumonia. He had been in poor health since 1918, when he suffered a severe attack of the flu.

The deceased was born and raised in Woods county, had made his home in Alva for several years, while teaching school northwest of this city. He has a host of friends in the county who extend their sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

He is survived by his wife and two small sons, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Lyons, and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in this city, Tuesday morning. Interment at the A.O.U.W. cemetery.
