Mercedes "Gram" Lorraine Denny, 79, Alva

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; three brothers, Lloyd Butts, John Butts, and Bernard Butts; two sisters, Ferrel Ray and Mary Klotz; and one great grandchild, Misty Crow.

Mercedes is survived by her husband, Don, of Alva; one daughter Mary Ann Crow and her husband, Wally, of Alva; four grandchildren, Dennis Crow of Pratt, Kan., Cynthia Hitt and her husband, Raymond, of Pratt, Kan., Tim Crow of Alva, and Melody Hofer and her husband, Jim, of Alva; 15 great grandchildren, Travis Crow, Lacie Crow, Jonathan Meyer, Latisha Rhodes and her husband Jordan, Stormee Crow, Dusty Stone, Kaye Anna Hofer, Raeann Hitt, Jemi Kay Hofer, Austin Hofer, Meghan Hofer, Chain Fishgrab, Colter Fishgrab, Kelli Crawford, and Tyler Crawford; two great great grandchildren, Alex Ibarra and Travis Stone; two brothers, Newt Butts and his wife, Mildred, of Coldwater, Kan., and Cleo Butts and his wife, Sandy, of Stockton, Mo.; her brother-in-law Kenneth Denny and his wife, Ann, of Wellington, Kan.; her special friends, Haile Crow and Arlene Thomas; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of the Christian's Belief in Resurrection service will be 2 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Dave Imming officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
