Preston Hill Cemetery


Deceased: Alberta F. Gabbert, 79, Alva

Graveside services will be held at the Preston Hill Cemetery on Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. with Hartsell Johnson, retired Church of Christ minister, officiating. Interment follows in the Preston Hill Cemetery at Farry. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gabbert was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Jean Jackson, and a brother, Arnold.

Alberta is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Wanda and Charles Walz of Alva, Peggy and John Gailey of Mineola, Texas, and Wilma Nossaman of Enid; two adopted daughters, Linda and Eddie Toone of Alva and Enid Dooley of Shawnee; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Tonya and Dwain Griffith of Quitman, Texas, Billy and Bo Lieswald of Kansas City, Kan., Steven Gailey of Mineola, Texas, Dale Dooley of Vinita, Jason Dooley of Alva, Kassie Dooley of Shattuck, Sonya Shepherd of Alva, Stacy and William Lewis of Liberty, Mo., Timothy Toone and twin grandsons Samuel and Daniel Toone all of Alva; seven great grandchildren Tyler, Courtney, and Brittney Griffith, Sasha and Tori Lieswald, Dalton Lewis, and Christina Shepherd; a brother and his wife, Dennis and Jackie Myrick of Corona, Calif., a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
