ENID, OK — Funeral service for Maxine Bridwell, 82, of Enid, Okla., will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, at New Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sheila Combs-Francis officiating. Interment will follow in Preston Hill Cemetery, near Alva, Okla. Service is under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Maxine was born Dec. 27, 1931, in Alva, Okla., the daughter of Leslie and Viola Terrill Cottrill.

She was united in marriage to Harold Bridwell on July 24, 1953, in Collinsville, Okla. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1994.

Maxine was employed as a registered nurse for 27 years at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. She had also been employed by hospitals in Tulsa and Ponca City.

Mrs. Bridwell was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

Maxine enjoyed quilting and was a volunteer for five years for Hospice Circle of Love.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Vincent and husband Danny of Independence, Kan.; two sons, Randy Bridwell of Enid and Terry Bridwell of Tulsa, Okla.; two grandsons, Jonathan and Chase; a granddaughter, Becky Gaede and husband Scott; a great-grandson, Schyler and a great-granddaughter, Hailie.

Maxine was also preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Schyler and Joshua; two brothers, Dewayne Cottrill and Dale Cottrill; and a sister, Rose Herren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or New Hope United Methodist Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
