Lutheran Cemetery


ENID - The funeral for Arnold Henry Lohmann, 87, of Alva, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church, Alva. The Rev. Mark Bersche will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.

He was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Alva to Martha Dubben and Fred Lohmann and died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Share Convalescent Home.

He attended Zion Lutheran School, Alva.

He married Hazel Irene Herdman Feb. 9, 1947, in Enid. They made their home in Alva, where he farmed and ranched all of his life. He was a member of Alva Zion Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sons, Terry and Steve, both of Alva; one sister, Esther Stelling; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, an infant son and one sister.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
