Funeral service for Kenneth Leo Ring will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva. The Rev. Terry Martindale, Pastor of Alva First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be at Capron Cemetery.

Kenneth Leo Ring, son of Ada Adelle (Shalloup) and Fredrick Eugene Ring was born June 2, 1932, in Alva, Okla. He passed away at Share Medical Center on July 7, 2015, at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 5 days.

He attended the Catholic school in Alva for four years. He then attended Capron school, graduating in 1950.

On April 3, 1951, he married AnnaBelle Lee in Alva.

Kenneth entered the Army in 1952, and was transferred to Fairbanks, Alaska, for 18 months. He returned to a farm north of Alva, where he farmed with his father-in-law.

He and AnnaBelle moved to Capron in 1963, where they lived for 30 years. They retired and moved to Alva in 1996.

He was proceded in death by a baby brother, Allen Eugene; his parents; and a sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and William Galligan.

He is survived by his wife, AnnaBelle; son, Larry Ring; daughter, Charlotte and Gary Murrow, all of Alva; grandchildren, Kristi and Adam Borth, of Winfield, Kan., and Kyle and Caitlin Murrow of Alva; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Brynleigh Borth and baby Boston Murrow, who has yet to make his appearance.

Memorials can be made to the Capron Volunteer Fire Department.
