Funeral services for Gladys Lorraine Warfield will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Gladys Lorraine Warfield, age 78 of Alva, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Share Medical Center in Alva, Oklahoma.

She was born June 8, 1937, in San Bernadino, California, to Doris and Byron McKitrick. Lorraine grew up in Kiowa, Kansas, where she attended school. She married Bobby Lee Warfield on February 10, 1957, at Cherokee, Oklahoma. The couple lived briefly in Wichita, Kansas, before making their home in Alva.

Lorraine was a cook in the Alva Public Schools for many years and also the Senior Citizens Center, loved cooking for her family and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.

Her parents, one brother, Ronald J. McKitrick, and sisters, Deloris Knabe, Jean Nusser and Debra Nealey preceded her in death.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, their three daughters, Tamre Kay (John) McGinnis of Alva, Lea Ann (Richard) Strait of Enid, and Brenda Sue Gray of Alva. She was also blessed with six grandchildren, Mandy Lee (Corwyn) Madison, Jill Renee (Michael) Turley, Jonathan David McAlpin, Keri Lea (Cliff) Layton, Elizabeth Rose Bohn, and Andrew Sherman (Ashleigh) Gray as well as six great-grandchildren, Brian Thomas Bohn, Jacob Glenn Cline, Nicholas Andrew Cline, Bentley Zane Cox, Millie Grace Layton, baby boy Layton (due in June) and Harper Mae Turley. She is also survived by one brother, Byron McKitrick, of New Hampshire, two sisters, Marsha (Eddy) Adams and Karen (Jerry) Hada all of Alva, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association of Oklahoma.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last few days at Share Medical Center.
