JESSICA NICOLE SHAHAN 

The funeral for Jessica Nicole Shahan, 18, of Alva, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church, Alva. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.

She was born Dec. 6, 1987, in Pueblo, Colo., to Rodney and Vicky Prophet Shahan and died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006.

She attended school in Rye, Colo., until 1995. She attended Burlington schools until 1997 and then attended Alva public schools, graduating with in 2006.

She was a member of Alva First Assembly of God Church and Impact Youth.

Surviving are her parents, Vicky and Rodney and one brother, Clayton, all of Hardtner, Kan.; two half sisters, Kacy Everheart and Kelly Shahan, both of Darlington, Ind.; two half brothers, Sam of Darlington and Jamie Reed of Penrose, Colo.; and grandparents, Dean and Marie Prophet of Pueblo.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Jess’s Love Fund.
