June 4, 1951 - October 21, 2020

Donald Wayne Schupbach, 69, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, in Wichita. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with Celebration of Life following at 11a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020, both at Hillside Funeral Home, 2929 W. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Alva Municipal Cemetery, Alva, Oklahoma.

Donnie Schupbach was born at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, on June 4, 1951, to Gladys May Schupbach and Wayne Orville Schupbach formerly of Alva, Oklahoma.

Donnie was a very kind, gentle soul. He had a loving heart and enjoyed laughing and smiling with everyone he met. Donnie experienced a fulfilling career as an employee of Starkey, Inc., until his retirement in 2014. In his youth, he enjoyed Boy Scouts, bowling and riding his scooter. Donnie was blessed with the many loving friendships that he developed through his involvements with Starkey, Right at Home, and Catholic Care Center.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents and cousin Louis Schupbach.

He is survived by his cousins Ron Allenbach of Kiowa, Kansas; Suzanne Pralle of Enid and Jeanene Mantz of Georgetown, Texas; and several other family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Starkey, Inc., 4500 W. Maple, Wichita, KS 67209. Condolences may be left in Donnie's online guestbook at http://www.hillsidefuneralhomewest.com.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Harry Hynes Hospice, Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, and Catholic Care Center for their support in his final days.
