ENID — Graveside service for Erma Lee Sabedra will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.
Erma Lee, adopted daughter of Iva Naoma (Bittner) and John Elmer Forbauer was born June 24, 1938, in Alva, Okla. She passed away at her home on the 24th day of October at the age of 72 years and 4 months.
She attended Alva Public School System and lived most of her life in Alva. After her adoptive parents passed away, she went to live with her mother, Mildred Pinion, who was always there for her.
Mrs. Sabedra was a caregiver who took care of many people in and around Alva.
Erma had strong Christian beliefs. She was very stubborn and was a little headstrong. She loved being home with her cats and caring for them all.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Pinion; a great-nephew, Charod Schwerdtfeger; and a sister, Yvonne Shutler.
She is survived by a stepson, David Brewer of Kemmerer, Wyo., a sister and her husband, Karen and Mark Brigham, and a niece Terisa Schwerdtfeger, all of Edmond; her nephews, Rod Schwerdtfeger of Kiowa, Kan., Chad Schwerdtfeger of Edmond, Danny Shutler of New York, Mike Shutler of California and David Shutler of Texas; one great-niece, Brandalynn Schwerdtfeger of Edmond; three great-nephews, Chandler Schwerdtfeger and Zac Schwerdtfeger, both of Edmond, and Ross Schwerdtfeger of Alva.
