The funeral for Tom William Ross, 38, of Alva, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Bible Baptist Church, Alva. The Rev. John Clapp will officiate. Private burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.

He was born July 16, 1971, in Alva to Sherry Lynn Cunningham and Billy Lee Ross and died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Alva Share Medi-cal Center.

He attended Alva schools.

He married Tammy Free-man July 20, 1990, in Alva, where they lived and he worked in construction as a brick mason.

He married Dawn Haight Jan. 2, 2004, in Cherokee, and they lived in Alva.

He attended Bible Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Williams, and two grandfathers, Lawrence Cunningham and Tom Ross.

Surviving are three daughters, Tashanda Ross of Weatherford, Tara Ross of Clinton and Tiana Freeman of El Reno; his mother Sherry and his father Bill Ross, both of Alva; two sisters, Shelly Cushenbery and Kim Penrod, both of Alva; one brother, Billy of Alva; and his grandparents, Pearl and Dale Shelton of Enid; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to help defray expenses.
