Stella Easter, daughter of Stella Alma (Corson) and Alonzo Beckwith, was born on April, 21 1935, which happened to be Easter Sunday, and that is how she was given her middle name. She passed away on December 11, 2019 at the age of 84 years young.

Stella was one of five children growing up in Cherokee, Oklahoma, where she graduated in 1954 from Cherokee High School. She was very involved in Future Home Makers of America while in school. She married the Love of her Life on July 4, 1959. There was more than fireworks that night.

Roger and Stella made their home in Alva, Oklahoma, raising four children together. She worked at the Alva School cafeteria for many years. She loved to iron and do laundry. She is remembered fondly by her family for loving to cook, wanting to travel any chance she could, dancing, and loving her children with most precious unconditional love.

Roger and Stella moved to Bella Vista Arkansas, in 1986 where she became a Hospice Nurses Aid and helped many people on their last days. Stella was a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed in 1989. She loved our Lord and Savior and was a member of New Beginning Christian Fellowship Church of Ringwood, Oklahoma. One of her most prized moments in her life was being baptized together with Roger in 1976.

In 2009 Roger and Stella made their home in Okeene, Oklahoma, to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Stella is proceeded in death by her two brothers, Gilbert Beckwith, and Gary Beckwith, two sisters, Gladys Newman, and Bernice Leslie and her son Robert Lon Rose who passed away on October 18, 1961, we know she is holding him tight in heaven today.
