June 10, 1960 - January 3, 2021

Earnest Dean Rhodes, son of the late Garnie Lee and Phyllis Ann (Wanger) Rhodes, was born June 10, 1960, in Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away January 3, 2021, in El Reno, Oklahoma, at the age of 60 years, 6 months, and 23 days.

Earnest graduated from Alva High School. He lived most of his life in the Alva area where he farmed and ranched. On February 19, 2015, he was united in marriage to Amy Thomas. Two years ago they moved to El Reno.

He attended the Mustang Heights Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching all of the old westerns. He prided himself on being a seasoned farmer. He said the two greatest blessings in his life were the birth of his children, Stetson and Bailey.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Bailey Shae Rhodes.

Earnest is survived by his wife, Amy, of El Reno; one son, Stetson Coy Rhodes of Alva; two brothers, Leslie “Les” Rhodes and wife, Jeannie, of Alva, and Douglas L. Rhodes of Pratt, Kansas; two step-daughters, Samantha Walker and husband, Christian, of Oklahoma City, and Cember Harris of Tuttle; 8 grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
