Funeral services will be Friday, June 1, 2012, at 2 p.m. at College Hill Church of Christ with Reverend Gary Henson officiating. Burial will follow in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Dewey Mac, son of Evelyn Marie (McDowell) and Merle Jennings Phillips was born August 12, 1955 in Alva, Oklahoma. He passed away at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City on the 28th of May at the age of 56 years, 9 months and 16 days.
He attended the Alva School System and graduated with the class of 1974. During high school he worked at Sonic. Following graduation he attended Oklahoma State Tech, graduating in 1977 with a degree in Diesel Mechanics and went on to work for Thompson Diesel in Oklahoma City.
On September 18, 1981 he was married to Pam Moudy at the Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. To their marriage Justin and Maegan were born.
Following their marriage they made their home in Mustang for six years. In 1988 they returned to Alva to join his family in farming and ranching until the time of his death.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Tommy; grandparents; mother-in-law; cousins; aunts and uncles.
Dewey is survived by his wife Pam; his children, Justin and Maegan; a sister Merlene and her husband Wade; sisters-in- law, Connie Phillips and Diane Thornton and her husband Larry and family; brother-in-law, Barney Moudy and his wife Sherry and family; father-in-law, James Moudy; six nephews, Wesley, Derek and families; Bryan and family, Roy, Sean, J.R.,; four nieces, Shannon and family, Jessica, Kayla, and Lisa; three aunts; other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for heart research or College Hill Church of Christ.
