April 23, 1938 - July 2, 2017

Landon Joe son of?s Violet Ora (Murrow) and Ivan Joe Morse was born in Dacoma, Oklahoma on April 23, 1938 and grew up on a farm south of Dacoma, he passed away at Share Convalescent Home on 2 of July 2017 at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 9 days. Joe started elementary school at Red Bird School south of Dacoma, graduated from Dacoma high school with the class of 1956 he attended Northwestern State College in Alva receiving a bachelor of science degree.

He taught elementary grades fifth and six in Greenfield, Oklahoma, later moving to Chugiak, Alaska where he worked with seventh and eighth graders. He was also a social worker with the state of Oklahoma working in Oklahoma City, Enid, Buffalo and Eastern Oklahoma. In the late 70s he returned to family farm near Dacoma, Oklahoma area, he also worked at Lewis Harris State Park. And was the main caregiver for his mother last 17 years of her life before moving to the Homestead retirement center early in 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents and?

Landon is survived by his sister Bonnie Harris of University Pl., Washington and a brother Bucky of Fayetteville, Arkansas, other nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alva fire Department in care of Wharton funeral Chapel
