Harry V. MARTIN

Alva Cemetery



Harry V., son of Eva Leona (Sharpe) and Isaac V. Martin, was born July 7, 1925 at Medicine Lodge, Kansas. He passed away in Alva, Oklahoma on Oct. 23, 2007. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Bernice, and a sister Maleta Mae McGlasson.

Harry is survived by his wife, Shelley, of the home; three children and their spouses, Susan Crawford Wetzel and husband Dan, David V. and wife Nancy and Michael Lee and wife Tena; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jana Kay DeMarco, Brooke (Martin) and Gene Albright, Sarah (Martin) and Chris Ward, Jeffery Crawford and Chasity, Caleb Martin and Shannon, Christopher and Joseph Martin. Nine great-grandchildren Zachary and Heath DeMarco, Grace and Nathan Albright, Annalisa Ward, and Karena, Cade, Kyle and Camree Crawford; two sisters, Mary Louise Hazard, of Fountain Valley, California and Marjorie Heifner and husband Richard of Louisville, Kentucky, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 26, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Alva with Reverend Terry Martindale officiating. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Northwestern Oklahoma State Foundation or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
