Graveside services for Moye Alma Long will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2008, at the Alva Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Bob Brown officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Moye Alma Long, daughter of the late Richard Hezekiah Niles "Dick" and Nettie Elizabeth (Anderson) Cummings, was born May 14, 1916, on the family farm in Woods County, Oklahoma, and passed away November 27, 2008, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years, 6 months, and 13 days. Moye grew up in the Dacoma/Hopeton area and attended Friendship School before graduating from Alva High School. After working at Anthony’s for a time, she was united in marriage to Murray Long in 1938. Moye continued to work at Anthony’s, then at Ellison’s Dress Shop, before working at J. C. Penney’s. As a family they loved to go camping, boating and water skiing. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel Doud, Edna Haas, and infant Velma Commings; and seven brothers, Earnest, Delbert, Lester, Richard, Harold, and two infants, Virgil and Garold.

Moye is survived by one son Lonnie and his wife, Ramona, of Chesapeake, Virginia; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Alva First Assembly of God Church.
