June 7, 1932 - November 23, 2020

Evelyn Marie Irons, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 23, 2020.

Evelyn was born in Kansas on June 7, 1932. She was an only child to Lillian Viola Jones and Samuel James Hada. Evelyn loved growing up on the farm. After graduation she met and married RD Irons in 1948. To this marriage three daughters were born, Randi, Patricia and Christina.

Evelyn was a very creative person and had a passion for drawing and painting. She was also an avid walker. Evelyn had a love for shopping, especially for shoes and Mickey Mouse apparel. She always had a place in her heart for cats, and Evelyn spent many hours tending to her cacti.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband RD, her daughter Patricia, and parents Sam and Lillian Hada.

She is survived by her two daughters, Randi and Christina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family asked in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Alva Food Bank through Wharton Funeral Chapel.

The family plans on having a private ceremony at a later date and thanks everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers.
