Graveside services for Norma Jean Hall will be Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Alva Municipal Cemetery with Reverend Dave Keller, Green Valley, officiating and with Wharton Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Norma Jean, daughter of Alvis Juanita (Ipson) Murray, was born on May 14, 1933, in Denver, Colorado, and passed away on December 18, 2017, at Share Convalescent Home at the age of 84 years 7 months and 4 days. Norma and her mother lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, during her childhood and she attended school there. After school she worked in a variety store and went to Central Nazarene Church where she met her husband, Charles. Charles Hall and Norma Jean Ipson were married upon Charles' returned back to the states after the Korean War. They made there home in Minnesota for 22 years and then moved to Pennsylvania in 1974 where Charles worked in the steel mills and Norma worked doing laundry. Norma and Charles returned to Alva in 1984 to take care of Norma's mother. Norma retired in 1995 to care for Charles at home. Charles then moved to Share Convalescent Home in 1997 and Norma moved to Share Convalescent Home in 1998. Charles then passed away in 2000.

Norma is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her mother, two aunts, and one uncle.

She is survived by five cousins: Dolores, Wanona, Laverne, Marshall, and Sheryl; other relatives and friends.
