William John EVERSOLE

Alva Cemetery

Alva – John William Eversole, 62, died suddenly Wednesday in his home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born January 6, 1920, in Alva and lived in Norman until he was five when the family moved to Waynoka. They later moved to a ranch west of Waynoka. He attended rural schools, the Waynoka and Quinlan elementary schools, Waynoka High School and graduated from Horace Mann High School in Alva.

Eversole attended Northwestern State University at Alva and later helped his father on the farm.

After his father's death, he continued to operate the ranch and was still in the ranching business at the time of his death.

He is survived by a sister, Vera May Eversole of the home.

Funeral rites for Eversole will be at 2 PM Saturday in the Wharton Funeral Chapel in Alva with the Rev. Darrel Hardy, pastor of the Alva First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Eversole will be buried in the Alva Municipal Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of Wharton's.
