Boyce D. Elmore
October 3, 1935 - March 2, 2024

Boyce D. Elmore was born October 3, 1935 to Arrietta Young Elmore and Chester (Chet) Elmore at their homeplace north of Alva. He went home to be with his wife and heavenly Father on March 2, 2024 with his three daughters by his side. He attended Alva High School and graduated with the class of 1954. Boyce worked multiple jobs to support his family which included working at an auto parts store, trucking oil field equipment, and hauling hay prior to his career at Alfalfa Electric. He was hired by AEC and began as a lineman and advanced to a working foreman, where his strong suits were developing and teaching his crew how to do the job and do it safely. He was promoted to Director of Operations and held that title until his retirement after 37 years of service. During that time he also partnered with neighbor and friend, Royce Flaming, to develop a housing division in their neighborhood. He always had a great love of the outdoors working on his farm. Each weekend one could find him taking care of his cattle with his dog by his side. He made an impact on a lot of people with his kindness and teasing nature. He was a loving caring husband, father, brother, and friend. Boyce was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cherokee.

Boyce married his high school sweetheart, Carol Needham on June 28, 1957. To this union three children were born: Laurie, Lecia, and LynnaBeth.

Boyce is preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife of 63 years, Carol.
