September 30, 1949 - May 14, 2020

Graveside services for Cecilia Kay Dunkin will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at the Alva Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Drew Kirtley and Rev. Ron Pingelton officiating. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Cecilia Kay Dunkin, daughter of the late Frank E. and Lois V. (Crandall) Morefield, was born September 30, 1949, in Norman, Oklahoma, and passed away May 14, 2020, at Alva, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Cecie graduated from Alva High School with the Class of 1967. She then attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated in 1972 with a degree in interior design. She was a member of the Theta Gamma Chapter of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was united in marriage to Pat Parkhurst.

She worked for Evelen Kamas at the ETC Shoppe for 15 years. In May 1985, she was united in marriage to Rodney Dunkin in Alva. She owned the Finishing Touch Interior Design Studio. She also catered for many years for social events around the Alva area.

She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Holly Club, a past member of Chapter ET PEO, and a Past President of Chapter AL PEO. Her hobbies include golf, hard hanger hand work, cross stitch, fishing and quilting.

Cecie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Rod, of the home; Kellie Dunkin and husband, Brett Lane, of Denver, Colorado; and Ryan Dunkin of Dallas, Texas; other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Alzheimer's research or the Alva First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
