Arthur Harold Wiens

Arthur Harold Wiens was born in Corn, Oklahoma but has been a resident of Bakersfield for the past 90 years. He faithfully loved and served the Lord and his family and was the oldest active member of Heritage Bible Church. He also served his country as an Army Medical Sergeant in WWII from 1943 to 1946.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and had his own upholstery business. He was famous for his tuck-and-roll seat covers in the 1950s.
He married Edna Mae Frantz in 1936, and he and his dear wife spent 68 years together. They enjoyed many adventures trailering, flying, and cruising to all 50 states, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
Art is survived by his wife, Edna; one daughter, Debrah Jeanne Stockton; three granddaughters, Jessica Stockton, Anna Rodriguez, and Sarah Stockton; a sister, Bertha Heier; a brother-in-law, Henry Brandt, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9109 Kern Canyon Road, on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will also be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Thursday, December 30, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Heritage Bible Church, 2323 Mt. Vernon Avenue.
