Lupe G. Gonzalez, age 102, passed away on September 9, 2020 in Kingsville, Texas.

She was born November 30, 1917 in Hillsboro, New Mexico to Marcelino and Cruz Guerena.

Lupe was a homemaker, she was a mother of 8 children, she had over 100 grandchildren and was a great, great, grandmother. Her education was her top priority. Her children were all educated and raised to be responsible and respectable adults. Her family was her life. She was a very hard worker and was self-educated. She never met a stranger and loved visiting and talking to everyone. Her memory will be cherished by all 246 family members.


She is preceded in death by her two sons, Fermin Guevara; Paul Guevara, and one daughter, Katy Salinas.
 

She is survived by her children, Tommy Guevara; Delfina Taylor; Kelly Guevara; Frances Baggett; Margaret (James) Gray; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great- great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
 

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Cemetery in Canute, OK under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service, Elk City.

Visitation will be Friday, September 18, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Whinery Funeral Service, Elk City.
