Carolyn Sue Sybil, 78, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, died Saturday at 1:45 am on June 18, 2022.

Carolyn was born in Hannibal, Missouri on February 11th, 1944. As a young child, she grew up in Hannibal and moved to Davenport, IA during her teenage years. She married her first husband, Ronnie Cole, in Davenport, and they later moved to Pleasant Valley, IA. Together they also lived in Big Piney, WY; Wilton, IA; and Saverton, MO. After Carolyn was widowed in 1995, she moved to Muscatine, IA, where she married John Sybil. They lived in Muscatine for many years, until John's passing in 2019. Carolyn spent her last two years of life living in Bartlesville, OK near her family.

Carolyn came to know her Savior, Jesus Christ, in the year 1975 in Pleasant Valley, IA. Carolyn's love for the Lord was evident in her life, and the way she loved others. She never met a stranger, and her generous hospitality extended to both people and animals. No matter the trials she went through, Carolyn always had the joy of the Lord. She was a blessing to all whom she came into contact with.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother Wilma Caldwell and her father Harry Pipkin; and her husbands Ronnie Cole and John Sybil.

She is survived by sons Lonnie Ray Cole and wife Kimberly, of Bartlesville and Kevin Lee Cole and wife Vicki, also of Bartlesville; daughter Donna Marie Cole, of Hannibal, Missouri; grandsons Joshua Cole, of Oklahoma City, Aaron Alexander, of Tulsa, Scott Majors, of Savannah, Missouri and Dalton DePoorter; granddaughters Madison Cole of Bartlesville, Ashley Morris of Tulsa, Amy Majors, of Bartlesville, Jessica DePoorter and Jessica Hulsey of Smithville, Missouri; great grandchildren Jayden Cole and Dexter Morris and several others.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at White Rose Cemetery at 10:00am. If you choose, may either send flowers or make memorial contributions to, Carolyn’s favorite charities, either the Fellowship of Christian Jews or the Washington County SPCA in Bartlesville.
